Basecamp Explorer

Basecamp Explorer is ideally located just outside the Maasai Mara National Reserve and provides an ideal base from which to explore this wildlife reserve. The lodge provides 12 spacious and luxurious tents, hidden away under thatched roofs on a lush peninsula in the Talek River, with spectacular views of the savannah. As well as having an outdoor hot-water shower, each en suite tent has its own private verandah overlooking the river where you can spend time relaxing in a hammock. Enjoy the amazing wildlife from the comfort of your tent, the fig-tree platform, or while lazing over a drink in the open-air bar. The lodge is committed to the protection and preservation of the natural environment and makes use of a variety of eco-friendly practices, including solar power, using the waste water from the tent to water over 3,000 trees and separating and composting of the kitchen waste.



Camp Oloshaiki

Camp Oloshaiki is an exclusive camp located near the Talek River, overlooking the Posee plains of the Maasai Mara. The camp has only 8 spacious tented rooms designed for ultimate privacy and comfort, each with a private verandah and en-suite bathroom with hot and cold shower. The rooms are tastefully and luxuriously furnished with handcrafted four poster beds, one kingsize and one queensize, dressed with fine linen and mosquito nets. There is still enough space for an extra single bed if needed. All the furniture and fittings at Oloshaiki are hand crafted using local timbers and materials. Guest areas include a comfortable and cosy sitting room with fireplace and a well stocked bar. The dining areas can be either inside or outside for al fresco dining. Enjoy sumptuous meals prepared by the chefs, a delicious blend of Continental and African cuisine using fresh local produce and delicacies.

David Livingstone Safari Lodge

David Livingstone Safari Resort, resting along the meandering Mara River, is an oasis of peace and tranquility. Located on concessional land on 4 shimmering hippo pools, with a resident population of over 200 hippopotami and several crocodiles, the resort is an ideal base to experience the Maasai Mara. Each of the 82 appointed rooms is a haven of style and serenity, complete with balcony and private bathroom. Even greater grandeur can be experienced by booking one of the two suites. The View Point Bar and rest area offers a spectacular view of the Mara river and the animals. All the three meals are served in the Restaurant, Terrace lounge, Hippo View Point or Garden depending on the weather conditions. Guests can see hippos across the river from their table as they sit down for the meals prepared by international chefs. The lodge also provides an enclosed swimming pool.



Elangata Olerai Camp

Elangata Olerai Tented Camp is located at the border of Maasai Mara National Reserve around 10 kilometers from Ololamutiek gate, offering wilderness hospitality in the authentic African tradition. The camp consists of ten luxurious tents, set apart and linked by a paved walkway that winds through the unaltered local habitat. Each tent is positioned to enjoy the sunrise over the savanna woodland of Mara and has light and power being provided by the Camp's 40 KVA generator. The tents have rustic reed blinds, coir carpets, a draped canvas ceiling, built in lounge area, spacious en-suite bathroom with shower and a private veranda which is ideal for relaxing and absorbing the sounds of the Mara. Enjoy the Camp's hospitality and reception area which consists of a bar, lounge and an expansive deck for evening sundowners and game viewing. Dining is tiptop at Elangata Olerai Tented Camp, with cuisine crafted to reflect the local flavors of Africa. Available also is an outdoors barbeque with a variety of local and international dishes.



Encounter Mara

Tucked away in a stunning, private valley amidst the untouched wilderness of Mara Naboisho Conservancy, part of Kenya's famous Maasai Mara ecosystem, Encounter Mara is a unique, luxury eco-camp that offers authentic wildlife and cultural encounters. Perfectly located on the banks of the Olmorijio River, amongst wide open savannahs and rolling valleys, the camp and its immediate surrounds boasts unrivaled densities of game, including impressive numbers of Africa's big cats and the annual great wildebeest and zebra migration.

The camp offers 12 side-facing spacious luxury tents, constructed out of canvas and natural materials and furnished with handmade furniture, a large, private verandah with lounger, safari chairs and coffee table, bush hammocks, flush toilet, two sinks, classic canvas shower, a large king size bed (2m x 2m) or up to three single beds (2m x 1m), wardrobe with full-length mirror and luggage rack, bed box/chest and bedside tables with drawers, elegant natural décor including curtains and woolen rugs.

The salt lick directly in front of the camp is a popular source of natural minerals for a variety of animals and guests may often feel the urge to simply remain in the comfort of the camp and watch the unfolding of events with a cold drink in hand. No pathways cross in front of guest tents and private verandahs and hammocks give ample opportunity to soak in the ambiance in complete and blissful privacy.

Extensive solar powering with central charging, eco-friendly waste water system, use of eco-friendly cooking methods such as eco-briquettes and gas, biodegradable soaps and shampoos, replanting of trees ued for furniture in indigenous forest in Limuru. Distance to Siana is approx. 40 minutes and to Olkiombo airstrip approx. 70 minutes.



Fig Tree Camp

Fig Tree Camp is located on the banks of the Talek River and offers both luxury tents and chalet accommodation. The Camp is situated on the northern border of the game reserve and its central location makes all areas of the park accessible during game drives. To make an evening a real adventure, at the Fig Tree Camp one can choose to stay in a tent or a chalet, giving the best of both worlds. The rooms spaciously line up along the Talek River, overlooking the plains of the game reserve. The camp provides 70 rooms, thereof 38 safari tents, 22 garden chalets and 10 superior Ngaboli tents, built on a private wing of the camp on the banks of the Talek River. All rooms are ensuite and have their private balcony.

The camp has several facilities and services to ensure you have a comfortable stay. These include two bars, a main dinning room, an open-air dinning area and tree house coffee deck. Also available is a video room, guest lecture facilities, swimming pool and curio shop. The camp has a resident nurse and medical clinic. Power is supplied by generator from 5.00am to 9.00am, 12.00pm to 3.00pm, and from 6.00pm to 12.00am. The distance to Olkiombo airstrip is 30 minutes and to Keekorok airstrip is 40 minutes.



JK Mara Camp

JK Mara Camp is situated within the 1,800 acres of The Muliban Conservancy in the Talek area. Set among picturesque hills and rolling plains in prime game-viewing country you can step out of your tent and head straight out on a walking safari or night game drive within the conservancy or drive for 10 minutes to get to the Msasai Mara Game Reserve. This secluded site is suited to give you maximum privacy with comfort and style. You can relax on your private verandah, enjoying nature and letting the world go by. The camp is partly owned and run by the local Maasai Community from The Muliban Conservancy group and the staff is all well trained. The Muliban Conservancy is jointly run by the Maasai community and JK Mara to ensure maximum pleasure to the client and also as a benefit to the community.

The camp has 14 tents which accommodate either twin beds, triple beds or king sized beds, ensuite bathrooms with flush toilets and hot showers. Further a dining, bar and lounge tent. The cuisine provides full board of international standards with a touch of the African cuisines. All fresh greens come from the camp's kitchen garden. There is solar power in all tents, with telephones and camera charging facilities on request.



Keekerok Lodge

Keekorok Lodge was the first lodge built in Maasai Mara and is located just along the path of the great wildebeest migration that occurs between Masai Mara and Serengeti every year. Keekorok Lodge has a total of 101 guest rooms, thereof 89 standard twin rooms, 9 superior rooms (4 inter-connecting), one suite and one three bedroomed suite. Each room in this lodge is spacious enough, en-suite and has the following facilities: Mosquito repellents, twin, queen-size & king-size beds, private balconies offering unobstructed view of wild animals in the reserve and private en-suite bathrooms.

Besides the main restaurant Keekerok Lodge provides three bars: Pool Bar, Hippo Bar & Lounge Bar, also the Discovery Cafe - for coffee & Snacks, a cinema & TV lounge, art gallery, a spacious guest lounge with fire place, a reference library and a full medical clinic with doctor on 24 hours call and air evacuation services. Further a outdoor swimming pool and conference facilities with 40 delegates capacity.



Kicheche Bush Camp

Kicheche Bush Camp is a small, classic, intimate, luxury tented camp completely unfenced, accommodating a maximum of twelve guests. Accommodation is in six spacious, fully insect-proof custom designed tents, equipped with twin or double beds, linen, bedside tables, luggage racks and rugs. Bathrooms are en-suite and are equipped with a dresser, flushing toilet and a traditional safari bucket shower with a view. There are comfortable chairs on each verandah overlooking the plains. One tent can be converted into a triple on request. There is a spacious well furnished lounge and dining tent, although the camp prefers alfresco dining if weather permits.

Kicheche Bush Camp is located within the Olare Orok Conservancy (created from Koiyaki Group Ranch lands) bordering the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The Olare Orok Conservancy, through it's strict limit on bed numbers, offers an incomparable gameviewing experience without crowds. The camp is located in a prime wildlife area and game viewing starts right from the camp itself. The location is also ideal to experience the wildebeest migration. Access is from Ol Kiombo airstrip, 40 minutes game drive away.

Kicheche cooks produce a variety of African and international dishes and special dietary requirements can be catered for. Fresh produce is flown in regularly and bread and pastries are baked daily. The small intimate camp lends itself to communal dining with your hosts, although private dining can be arranged.

The camp is available from June to March and closed during April and May.



Kilima Camp

Kilima Camp is an intimate eco-lodge with 12 standard tents and 2 deluxe tents. Opened in 2007, the camp is situated on the edge of the Siria escarpment (also called Oloololo escarpment) on the western border of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, at 1,800 metres above sea level, overlooking the Mara River and the Maasai Mara plains, both at an altitude of 1,500 metres. Hence Kilima Camp has a fantastic and phenomenal view over the Maasai Mara and the river, truly “the Gods’ window”. Surrounded by an abundance of wildlife, Kilima Camp offers a true African adventure in style and comfort.

With the entrance to the Masai Mara National Reserve and the Mara Triangle (Oloololo Gate) and local airstrip (Kichwa Tembo) just a fifteen minute drive away, Kilima Camp is not only easy to reach but also the perfect base from which to explore the Masai Mara plains and its wildlife.

The 12 standard tents are stylish and spacious and complete with their own verandahs and en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets, running water and a safari shower with hot water upon request. The standard double or twin safari tents are comfortable and fitted with large and comfortable beds. Each standard safari tent can also accommodate a third person (child up to 16 yrs) in a camp bed. The 2 deluxe tents are even more comfortable and bigger than the standard tend. They can sleep up to 5 persons (3 adluts and 2 children). There is a large wooden deck from which you can relax and admire the amazing view. The bathrooms are fitted with flush toilets, running hot and cold water and running hot shower.

The spacious central main safari tent (mess tent) is Kilima Camp's meeting place where guests gather to eat, drink, talk, play games, read, or just enjoy the view before of after a game drive. The camp's chef provides you with excellent international cuisine, supplemented by a selection of fine wines. Before and after dinner, relax by the camp fire, or at the very special bush bar and listen to the magical sounds of the African bush - all this under the spectacular African sky. Charging service for phones and camera batteries is also provided in the main safari tent.



Kimana Camp

Kimana Camp is a small tented camp, situated on the banks of Sekenani River, 2 kms from Sekenani Gate within the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Kimana is located within a small, serene environment surrounded by woodland. The wide array of indigenous trees keeps the camp environment cool and the air fresh, in an otherwise hot Mara.

The camp has simple but magnificently furnished tents. They have ensuite hot water showers and flush toilets. The tents are in secluded positions and are linked by raised brick and timber walkways amongst ancient Jackal Berry trees. The tents come in singles and doubles and can take up to three persons each. With a resident chef and fully equipped kitchen, Kimana guarantees magnificent cuisine freshly prepared to your satisfaction, and offers a menu as extensive as the African wilderness. Private dining is a romantic alternative, and bush picnics can also be arranged.

The camp also has electricity via a well muffled generator as well as sockets for charging your phones and running basic appliances.



Mara Intrepids Lodge

Overlooking the Talek River, at the very confluence of the Mara’s four game-viewing areas, Mara Intrepids enjoys one of the most spectacular locations in the world’s best-known wilderness. Mara Intrepids is a short drive from the Mara River, where more than a million wildebeest and zebra make their perilous migration crossing every year between July and October. For the remainder of the year, the camp offers some of the world’s finest game viewing, with large local populations of plains game, elephants, rhinos, buffalos, and all the big cats.

Mara Intrepids Luxury Tented Camp is made up of 30 tents widely spread across a large riverside site to ensure guest get optimum privacy and peace. Recently refurbished to accommodate to modern, discerning safari traveler, the tents are large and spacious with private verandahs to enjoy the plains, giving infinite views of the Mara.

Each luxury tent covers approximately 26 sqm and is fitted with a queen size bed or 2 single beds. It is furnished in the classic style of the grand African safaris; with large four poster beds and reproduction furniture, offset by modern en-suite bathroom with a hot shower; flush toilets and all the necessary amenities. The luxury family tents are beautifully decorated in stylistic African ethnic and modern pieces. The two bed-roomed family tents include a spacious lounge and an outside deck looking out at the river and the plains beyond. One of the rooms is fitted with a queen size bed and the other with 2 single beds, both with en-suite bathroom with a hot shower; flush toilets and all the necessary amenities.

Mara Intrepids facilities include a restaurant serving classic cuisine, a bar overlooking the Leopard-baiting area, a freeform swimming pool with sunbathing terrace, an elevated game-viewing platform with drinks service and a large dining terrace beside the swimming pool as well as small riverfront dining areas with private catering.

The camp is secured by an electric fence to ward off animals and has 24 hour security.



Mara Leisure Camp

Mara Leisure, a Luxury Tented Camp, is nestled in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve on the banks of the Talek River. The camp is situated on the northern border of the game reserve and this makes all areas of the park accessible for game viewing. The camp's accommodation facilities include 9 spacious ‘jumbo' tents, 13 standard ‘nyati' tents and 3 family ‘jamii' cottages. All of them have wooden floors with sizable floor rugs, ensuite facilities with hot and cold running water ('jumbo' tents and cottages including bathtub), kingsize, twin- or single beds and spacious verandahs overlooking the river. Due to their interconnecting doors the cottages are ideal for families. The camp offers excellent cuisine menu for all 3 meals of the day, with opportunities to enjoy these in the bush.

Mara Serena Lodge

Located at the very centre of the Mara Triangle, Mara Serena Safari Lodge is set high on a bush-cloaked hill with long views over the savannah and down to the winding coils of the hippo-filled Mara River, it stands centre-stage to one of Africa's most dramatic wildlife arenas, with a ringside seat for the ‘greatest wildlife show on earth', the legendary migration of the wildebeest. Styled to echo the circular motif of a traditional Maasai manyatta, the lodge blends international sophistication with raw African beauty, while featuring twin rows of individual rooms, each with its own view of the famous Mara River. The central bar and dining areas enjoy spectacular views, as does the rock-surround swimming pool. Each luxuriously-presented room is accommodated in its own stand-alone modular unit, with uninterrupted views, private balcony and spacious seating area.

The 74 luxury ensuite rooms are accommodated in twin wings which radiate out from the central building. They also offer 5 sets of interconnecting family rooms, each with its own private bathroom. Each tastefully-appointed modular room is set slightly in front of its neighbour, thus allowing uninterrupted views of the famous Mara River. Uniquely-presented in swirling patterns of savannah-yellow and bush-tones, each room features Maasai-inspired design-motifs, king-sized beds (or luxurious twins), lavish all-encompassing mosquito-curtaining, marble bathroom (with walk-in shower), writing/vanity unit, and out-thrust seating area.



Mara Simba Lodge

The Mara Simba lodge sits overlooking a dramatic bend on the bank of the Talek, a tributary of the Mara River, gently blending into the surrounding wilderness. Stretching almost a kilometer along the river the grounds on the bank remain in their virgin condition, while the landscaped gardens filled with indigenous trees at the back draw a great variety of birds and butterflies. The lodge was conceived with an emphasis on exclusivity and comfort. It was designed to complement its surroundings and is decorated in Maasai traditional style. Wide, well-lit pathways connect the public areas and rooms.

The 84 guest rooms, arranged in clusters of 6 in each natural wood and stone Banda (4 rooms on the ground floor, 2 interconnecting rooms on the first floor) comprise 60 twin rooms, 12 double, 4 double+single and 8 triple rooms. They all have ensuite showers, tiled bathrooms with natural granite and Twyfords, (UK) bathroom fittings. Each spacious room, which can easily accommodate an extra bed, opens onto its own private veranda with uninterrupted views across the river. Power is generated by duty & stand-by generator set.

The public areas, overlooking the Talek River, have floors of cedar wood decking, elevated on Timber posts, and are shaded by soaring makuti (palm thatch) roofs. The dining area, where a delicious cuisine of succulent meat dishes and vegetarian menus are served, and the bar, each have stone fireplaces, focal points in the cool of the evening. Their naturalist, who presents talks on the wildlife and ecology of the Maasai Mara, also conducts foot safaris, slide shows and Maasai cultural lectures. After game drives, the large, sparkling swimming pool invites you to cool relaxation. Night time floodlit viewing, from the comfort of chairs set on the wide, open veranda fronting the lounge and dining area, may reveal an elusive leopard across the silvery water.

At Mara Simba special care is taken to conserve the environment. Mara Simba is an truly environment friendly lodge as it has installed a sewage treatment plant. The plant provides crystal clear water that is used for irrigation.



Mara Sopa Lodge

Located on the slopes of Oloongams Hills, Mara Sopa Lodge is one of the first lodges built in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Guests are drawn to this lodge built in an ethnic design, surrounded by a rich landscape. Reception, lobby and dining room are decorated with red coloured walls, beads paintings in bright colours, calabashes and other Maasai artifacts. A huge fireplace, a bar and comfortable seats all around for lounging. Glass doors open out to a verandah facing the swimming pool and a beautiful garden, with sweet smelling jasmine plants creeping along the walls, giving a beautiful fragrant in the evenings when the flowers open.

Accommodation is in 50 traditional round buildings with thatched roofs, each with 2 rooms. The rooms have parquet floors and wooden paneled ceilings, 2 spacious beds with a mosquito net around them, ornamental fire place, en-suite bathroom with a shower, chairs and a coffee table and dressing table. Each has a verandah with two safari chairs. There are also 12 suites, 6 on either side of the lodge. They have a large living area, private spacious bedrooms with 2 queen size beds with a mosquito net, en suite bathroom with a shower, dressing table, coffee table with comfortable chairs and a mini bar. An ornamental fire place completes the decor of the rooms.



Offbeat Mara Camp

Offbeat Mara Camp is traditional Safari at its very best - private and small with just six tents in a prime location, that means to provide a truly individual and tailored approach to your holiday. This small and exclusive tented camp offers game-viewing in both the serene and unspoilt Mara North Conservancy, and close access to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve.

The camp's location is on the Olare Orok, a meandering tributary of the Mara River. The Olare Orok cuts through the centre of the Mara North Conservancy, a vivid swathe of green that allows an unrivalled habitat for game. Offbeat Mara Camp nestles into a valley in the middle of this wilderness, a doubly protected area that provides guests with unparalled game viewing. Four of the 'Big Five' - Lion, Leopard, Elephant and Buffalo are all seen regularly around camp, and the valley never fails to provide our guest with game-viewing of all sorts.

The camp sleeps just 12 guests in six traditional safari tents. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with hot bucket showers, wash basins and flush loos. The tents are all furnished with large, handmade cedar beds, 24hour solar lighting and the finest linen. Informal dining is hosted in the mess tent or around the campfire. Delicious English breakfasts, light lunches and three course dinners are served each evening. Guests can relax in the bar and 'mess' tent, with comfortable sofas, a writing desk and library with wildlife picture and guide books.

Ol-Moran Tented Camp

Ol-Moran is an exclusive tented camp for those who want to be true to wild experience. The camp is situated within the Masai Mara Eco-system on the banks of Ololaimutia River which is a watering point for most of the wild animals. Located 25 kms from Keekorok Air Strip, 15 kms from Sekenani Gate and 2 kms from Ololaimutia Gate.

Accommodation is in 15 spacious tents with double, twin and triple beds and one honey mooners tent. All tents have hot showers, WC, Zip up front and a front verandah, all under the canopy of an African makuti roof. Lighting is provided by a high powered three phase generator that will allow you to recharge your cameras and mobile phones. The meals are buffet, enjoyed either in the dining or under the shade of indigenous trees. The culinary affair is indeed one to delight the senses. The bar is well stocked with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. It is attached to the cozy lounge and next to the dining. As the camp is not very big, personalized services are available.



Ol Tome Mara Magic

Ol Tome Mara Magic is located deep within the wild,green leafy bush in the Siana Conservancy, just a few minutes drive from Sekenani gate of the Maasai Mara Game reserve. Seven tastefully furnished tents with single and double beds, raised on concrete decks. Ensuite bathrooms with hot showers and flush toilets, dressing table, deck chairs and writing tables, a small camp with intimate and ecofriendly atmosphere.

Dining room, Bar and Lounge cater for a maximum of 24 guests. The Restaurant has a well catered kitchen offering Ccntinental, european, indian and far eastern c uisine. Vegetarians are taken care of very well.



Olumara Camp

Olumara Camp is situated along the Maasai Mara Koiyaki Lemek conservation area and was specifically designed to blend with its natural surroundings, featuring the rugged area and the Olare Orok river. A rope suspension bridge across the river affords an adventurous entrance to the higher leveled camp, embraced by a bushy gorge. With only eleven spacious luxury tents, all with en-suite bathrooms and a private verandah, Olumara offers exclusive accomodation and excellent food. Introduced as the first in the Masai Mara, their 'open kitchen' is remarkable. Watch the experienced chefs preparing delicious meals, which will be served at the table by the caring staff. Enjoy the campfire while the bar attendant mixes your choice of cocktails and drinks, if preferred, at the bush-bar down at the riverbank.

Porini Mara Camp

Porini Mara Camp is the only safari camp set in Ol Kinyei Conservancy – an exclusive 15000 acre wilderness set aside as a wildlife sanctuary with a wide variety of species including big cats.The area has open plains, forests, rivers and stunning views. This exclusive setting provides the ultimate safari adventure in an unspoilt area, away from the crowds. Game drives can also be taken in the nearby Maasai Mara National Reserve and the adjacent Naboisho Conservancy. Porini Mara Camp is located in a unique and beautiful setting under yellow-barked Acacia trees along the banks of the Laetoli. The camp contains just six spacious guest tents and has an exclusive yet friendly feel, with each tent containings comfortable furnishings and ensuite facilities (with hot shower and flush toilet). The camp Chef uses fresh ingredients to prepare high quality meals and even home-baked bread. Porini Mara Camp is fully-inclusive of meals, drinks (gin & tonics, wine, beer, sodas and mineral water).

Sarova Mara Game Camp

Sarova Mara Game Camp is located in the heart of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, set on an elevation surrounded by two streams. The Camp is uniquely laid out over the sprawling grounds that include rolling manicured greens, a virtual mini forest of indigenous shrubs and exotic trees, a large pond stocked with fish, mini bird sanctuary and an authentic Maasai village adjoining the Camp.

The Camp includes 20 Club tents, 51 Standard tents, 2 Family tents, a Main Resturant, Bar and many bush dining options. The free form swimming pool has its own pool bar. There are meeting rooms and numerous outdoor venues for dining and leisure. The entire Camp is surrounded by a 24 hour electric fence.

All tents at Sarova Mara Game Camp are equipped with ensuite bathrooms with permanent showers and WC, running hot & cold water and 240V power. Club Tents offer breathtaking views of the Mara plains. They are luxurious and extremely spacious decorated in whites and soothing earthy colors with large beds, loungers, wardrobes and a desk. Bathrooms are appointed with his and her sinks and a bath in addition to the shower. Club Tents have glass panel doors and a deck outside for game viewing and private dining. Standard Tents are large and comfortable, tastefully furnished with double and twin beds, wardrobes, writing desk and safari chairs. Family tents are two in one sharing a spacious common lounge overlooking a lovely pond teeming with birds. One tent has a double bed and the other has a twin with space to fit a third bed for a family with children.



Sekenani Camp

Sekenani Camp is situated on the boundary of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, at the source of the Sekenani River which rises from a rock pool at the east end of the camp and forms the stream which flows in front of each tent. Comprised of fifteen exceptionally well-designed, large tents with en-suite bathroom, raised off the ground on platforms. Each one is secluded and set into the bush in such a way as to ensure privacy.

A suspension bridge connects the guest tents with the dining room and bar area. Here, it is the turn of the talented chefs to entertain you with a variety of freshly prepared dishes and a well stocked bar. In the evening a log fire is set on the wide veranda in front of the dining room. Here guests enjoy a 'sundowner' before dinner and listen to the sounds of Africa's birds and other creatures.

This small permanent camp is known for it's magnificent setting, excellent cuisine and comfortable tents. Sekenani Camp is operated in conjunction with twenty six Maasai families who have a share in the business. It is the logistical center for a community development project developing infrastructure for health-care, veterinary services, education and clean water for people living around the reserve.



Siana Springs Tented Camp

Siana Springs Tented Camp is situated at the base of the Ngama Hills, on the eastern edge of the Maasai Mara. Siana Springs occupies a lush indigenous forest watered by the largest natural springs in the Mara ecosystem - Siana Springs, or 'the plentiful springs' in Maa, the language of the Maasai tribe. The camp's location in the heart of the Siana Group Ranch offers guests unique opportunities for private bush walks and drives on the game-rich plains and along the seasonal streams beneath the Ngama Hills.

The camp offers 38 spacious tents situated in three secluded wings: the Bamboo wing, surrounded by bamboo groves and flowering ornamental trees near the main camp; the Palm wing, overlooking a series of springs, lily-clad ponds and lush indigenous forest; and the Acacia wing, which occupies more open acacia woodland rich in birdlife on the camp boundary. The tents boast the very latest in luxury camping, with large single or double beds, personal closets and writing desks, and en suite bathrooms with flush toilets and steaming hot showers.

There is a large dining area with beautiful open-air terrace that looks out across the camp's lush lawns to the open plains. While the dining room has a large sitting capacity, most guests prefer to take their meals outside, where they can watch Siana's Springs resident bushbucks, vervet monkeys and tree hyraxes during the day and genet cats and mongooses at night.
